Neuralign and Reading Development
Neuralign is designed to support the development of the neural pathways necessary for fluent reading and efficient learning. Through structured movement-based activities, students strengthen foundational skills that contribute to reading fluency, comprehension, attention, and academic performance.
As part of a broader learning support approach, Neuralign can complement a structured reading intervention program by helping students build stronger literacy foundations and learning confidence.
What is Neuralign®?
Neuralign® is a unique computer-based intervention that stimulates, enhances, and connects the different parts of the brain involved in reading for learners who are at least five years old. The reading program uses game-based learning and brain plasticity to form new neural links and develop fundamental processing skills vital to ensuring reading success. Neuralign® specifically targets these root causes of reading challenges.
Benefits of Neuralign
Neuralign may benefit:
- Students enrolled in a reading intervention program
- Children experiencing reading fluency challenges
- Students participating in dyslexia programs
- Learners requiring additional support with attention and processing
- Students who benefit from structured learning intervention strategies
By supporting foundational neurological pathways associated with learning, Neuralign helps students develop stronger academic readiness, confidence, and learning efficiency.
How does Neuralign® work?
Thanks to advanced research, Neuralign® has understood that our brain needs to master languages and how to use them. The Neuralign® program is based on the principles of neuroplasticity. It stimulates the parts of the brain used for reading and makes new connections.
The intervention program targets several cognitive processes, such as:
- Visual Processing
- Auditory Processing
- Phonological Awareness
- Visual Sequential Memory
- Decoding and Encoding
- Ocular Motor Control
- Visual Closure
The Neuralign® program consists of two phases. The first phase focuses on neural development, and the second focuses on strengthening new connections to improve comprehension and fluency. Neuralign® is one of the best reading programs for children and young adults. It has three components and five difficulty levels.
The program is not just designed for students with dyslexia. It can help others with reading challenges, such as those given below:
- English is a second language (ESL)
- Poor reading skills
- Poor working memory
- Poor eye movement control
- Low confidence when reading
- Auditory processing challenges
- Difficulty recalling information read
Is the Neuralign® program effective?
Although Neuralign® cannot predict the exact outcome of the program, students and other individuals who have undergone it have exhibited remarkable results in reading. Other areas, such as spelling, handwriting, comprehension, etc., have also shown improvement as a result of the program.
Neuralign® suggests that the improvements are most apparent shortly after a person has completed the program. However, the results can vary depending on the person and their reading difficulty level. Some can show improvements within a few days of starting the program, while others may need to complete the entire program. Unlike other reading programs, students with severe reading difficulties may take the program multiple times to ensure additional improvements.
Parents of children who have undergone the program have observed the following positive changes in their children:
- Higher grades
- Better reading fluency
- Less time spent on homework
- Improved organization skills
- Higher confidence and self-esteem
- Improvements in reading grade levels
- Better comprehension in various subject areas
At Strategic Learning Clinic, we make it a point to bring the best programs and learning interventions to help students improve their language skills–reading, writing, speaking, reading comprehension passages, and more. We have found the Neuralign® program to be effective for children of different ages older than 5.
If you have any questions regarding the Neuralign® program, we look forward to hearing from you!
Supporting Learning Intervention and Academic Success
Neuralign works alongside educational interventions by helping students strengthen foundational skills associated with reading, learning, attention, and academic performance. Students participating in a learning intervention program often benefit from Neuralign because it helps reinforce the underlying skills necessary for successful learning, stronger literacy development, and long-term academic growth. Students enrolled in a learning program can also benefit from Neuralign’s structured approach to developing the neurological foundations that support reading and learning success.
How Neuralign Supports Stronger Learning Outcomes
Neuralign helps strengthen the foundational neurological pathways associated with reading, learning, and academic success. By supporting the skills required for fluent reading, attention, and learning efficiency, Neuralign can complement a student’s broader educational journey.
Whether your child participates in a reading intervention program, dyslexia programs, or a learning intervention program, our team can help determine whether Neuralign is the right fit for their learning needs.
